About Us
Jones Oil Inc.
was started in 1933 with a single service station on Washington Ave. It was
purchased for $50, paid solely in pennies. The founder, James Bethel Jones,
came from rural living in East Texas. He sought an opportunity in Houston, TX,
which in 1933 had a population of 292,352. Today
Jones Oil, Inc.
is owned and operated by his son J.B.
Jones. Third generation
Joneses are now involved in the business.
